The Parking Plan of the Municipality of Parma regulates the transit and vehicles parking in the historical center and in the surrounding areas with the aim of keeping the city accessible and comfortable.
In these areas parking must be paid or it is reserved for permit holders (for example residents, traders, people with disabilities).

Blue lines
The paid parking areas is delimited by blue lines and are accessible to all vehicles. They are active during the day time on working days.
Payment for parking on the blue lines can be made at the parking meters or via the Tap&Park and EasyPark apps.
Half-day, daily and monthly parking permits for parking on blue lines or accessing the LTZ (Limited Traffic Zone) can be purchased through the Tap&Park app or at the Infomobility offices located at Viale Mentana 29/A.
Rates change according to the areas and the duration of the parking time.
Parking Update: 12:30 PM – 2:30 PM Time Slot
With the new 2025 Parking Plan Resolution, paid parking on blue-line spaces has been extended to include the 12:30 PM – 2:30 PM time slot.
The free hour is not activated automatically and must be selected manually in the app.
It is possible to benefit from 1 hour of free parking within this time slot in zones 6 to 15 by using the Tap&Park and EasyPark apps.
However, until the end of 2025, the use of the parking disc during the lunch break will still be allowed, in order to support the transition to digital technologies.
The activation of the free hour in the 12:30 PM – 2:30 PM time slot is being progressively rolled out in the various zones of the city, from zone 6 to zone 15, in conjunction with the updating of vertical signage and parking meters.

Parking
By inserting coins, the parking meter releases a coupon to be placed on the car in a clearly visible way, find the one closest to you.
Parking Titles
They have different validity depending on the need. They can be purchased at the Infomobility Front Office in Viale Mentana, 29 / A or in the designated tobacconists and newsagents.

Parking
In the city there are 10 covered pay car parks in the immediate vicinity of the historic centre. In the vicinity of the car parks are address panels that indicate the number of available parking spaces in real time. All car parks are located near the Parma Bike Sharing stations.
On the outskirts of Parma there are 10 free car parks where you can park your car 24 hours a day. Shared bicycles and scooters are available in some car parks, with which it is easy to get to the centre. The Tep shuttle service is also available.

The Ghiaia Car Park is located in the Limitated Traffic Zone. Thanks to the number plate detection system, cars not authorised to drive in the centre are allowed to access the Ghiaia car park from v.le Mariotti. For those who are not already in possession of a valid permit, entry into the ZTL is permitted only in the event of actual use of the Ghiaia car park by entering from v.le Mariotti and only to access the car park. The entrance to the car park is regulated by a special luminous sign placed on the roundabout between the Verdi bridge and the beginning of v.le Mariotti, indicating whether the car park is ‘free’ or ‘occupied’. In the vicinity of the signal, cars may only proceed in the direction of the car park and access it in the event of a ‘free’ light signal, while access is in any case prohibited to unauthorised persons in the event of a ‘busy’ light signal.
