MISSIONFounded in 2001, Infomobility was created to support public authorities with innovative and integrated urban mobility solutions through consulting and operational services. Over time, its activities have expanded to cover a wide range of mobility services, particularly in the areas of on-street parking, urban access control, smart transportation, and the implementation of advanced mobility technologies.Today, Infomobility S.p.A. plans, manages, and implements integrated urban mobility systems in line with the guidelines of the Municipality of Parma, with the goal of enhancing urban livability, reducing traffic congestion, and promoting sustainable, tech-driven solutions. 

OUR SERVICESBy resolution no. 50 dated 27/04/2022, the City Council approved the in-house assignment of the on-street parking management and sustainable mobility services to Infomobility S.p.A., under a new 10-year service contract valid through 2032. As part of the management of on-street parking, the company carries out permit issuing activities, the sale and distribution of parking tickets (both at public counters and in digital mode), the implementation and maintenance of parking meters and other payment systems for on-street parking (smartphone apps, prepaid cards and season tickets), the preparation and maintenance of signs relating to parking and Limited Traffic Zones (ZTL). The process of dematerialization of parking and transit permits and parking services has been started in recent years; a path of technological innovation aimed at improving and facilitating the use of mobility services by citizens with a view to constant evolution and development. The company manages 4 parking lots in the structure. The company has implemented an integrated system for monitoring access points and detecting vehicle flows, allowing it to control the electronic gates of the ZTL (Limited Traffic Zone), bus-only lanes, and the Green Zone. Under its institutional mandate, Infomobility also promotes, manages, and implements innovative sustainable mobility services as alternatives to private cars and public transport, with the goal of reducing traffic and air pollution. In particular, it directly operates the bicycle rental service and the bicycle and motorcycle parking facility at the “Cicletteria,” located next to the train station. Beginning in 2020, on behalf of the Municipality of Parma, the company expanded the city’s shared mobility offerings by awarding management to private operators through a public tender. These services include free-floating car sharing, shared electric scooters, standard bicycles, and shared electric bicycles. Infomobility monitors each of these services to ensure they meet the requirements set by the Municipal Administration. The company also seeks and manages national and European funding for urban mobility development, innovation, and implementation programs. It does this by partnering with other European cities, research institutes, and private companies.
